Good morning Jose...
dont know the exact issues...some work related...some still fear travel into Mexico...MOST frustrating is folks that confirm multiple times that they ARE going and then bail out at the last minute

We LOVE going to Mexico, but as a matter of rule for REMOTE off road travel, we wont go solo....so Gonzaga Bay will have to wait until Spring...we are going to go down to Kino Bay this weekend instead...only a 5 hr drive from Tucson...paved toll road...

Kino Bay, I practically grew-up camping in the area, you will have a great time, try to make it to the sand dunes on the south side of Kino it is a great area to camp and Kayak!Please make it to Old Kino you will love it a very relax area, and you will get to meet some of the Siris that work in the area! You will be surprise of the homes or huts they leave on!

Also if you take the road to Punta Chueca 5 to 8 miles out you will find an RV with a swimming pool it is a private resort, but you can stay there for a couple of nights!

Oh! and do not forget to make a stop in Hermosillo for lunch, just across from La Siesta Hotel in the main hotel area you will find a great taco stand, if he is still there they are highly recommended!

Jose...we ARE staying in Old Kino..at Islandia RV Park...thanks for the input..wish you were going...we are departing EARLY AM on Thursday...returning Monday morning....you KNOW you and Isabel NEED some good fish tacos...

You can still come with us to Laguna San Ignacio via Gonzaga in the spring. And there will be whales too.

One of the perks of traveling with our merry band of misfits is the music. Phil Salazar is a virtuoso on fiddle, guitar, mandolin and you name it. Lauren Donahue is a great fiddle and mando player and Gene Rubin plays all three as well so there's always music in camp. Come with us to Gonzaga and Laguna San Ignacio in the spring and be treated to some great sounds around the campfire at night or bring your axe and jam with them. Here's a You Tube video Gene and his girlfriend Anne took last week on our White Rim trip with them playing in Bluff and some White Rim footage too.
