Fell free to move this thread to an appropriate spot:

COCO UPDATE:
1) the most recent info is that he did have the second leg removed ( with some complications)
2) another site developed a "wheelchair donation fund" which collected over $5000
3) COCO is currently in either Guerro Negro or Ensenada
4) The wheelchair fund has been converted into a bank account to assist with COCO's everday needs, which currently are more pressing than a wheelchair..he was reported as being in good spirits and being COCO
BAD NEWS: reports indicate that the COCO'c CORNER site has been vandalized by peeps who knew he was stuck in GN

a bank site has been set up for those interested in making contributions

I am sorry to hear this!

Thank you for posting this information, everytime we pass by there or are in the area I always make it a rest stop at Coco's Corner!

I googled Coco's Corner and was amazed at his history, especially his willingness to help recover people who were stranded or wrecked, his willingness to always have a cold drink and a shady friendly place to stop and hang out

Our trip to Gonzaga and Baja will NOT be the same

Thanks for the update.
We just passed through there and did not see him, nor any sign of life at his place and were wondering what his status was/is.
