There's a good possibility I can get signed copies of From This Mountain Cerro Gordo by the author Robert C. Likes. If anyone is interested pm me.

Mitch - the author is in Myrtle Beach and he's suddenly wound up with 600 copies of his book he doesn't have a clue what to do with. He didn't even know his book was in print until he found me on the internet a couple of years ago. I'm now in charge of helping him re-market the book...but thought Cerro Gordo and history buffs might jump at a chance for a signed copy even if they already owned a book.
Oh! Thank you for the birthday wishes!

Yes, I want one, I pm'd you.
It's ok to have another copy, I tend to keep the signed ones put away and read the other ones anyway.

Got it...Mitch...you are on a list - I pm'd you back. I actually have three copies of the book somewhere...one tattered and torn for constant research....one in case that one falls apart...and probably the only hardcopy of the book in existence...signed by Bob Likes - wow...what a collectors item I have!
Thanks for the heads-up about the book. I don't need a signed copy, but will look for in when in the area.
Is any of the visitor center around Owens Valley selling them? I would think a local history book would be an item they would want.
BTW Happy BD :party_cheers:

Some of them are already selling it - and more of them will be. I'm Bob Likes new "marketing director". Cerro Gordo may be meeting Bodie at last, too! You'll probably be seeing the book in their museum book store.
