Ok... had a chance to use the traction mats...... did not work, I was spinning in some clay like mud not to deep but slipery as sn-t...anyway I trashed the mats...a shovel and some dry soil won the day.. not much invested so it didn't matter. oh well, could have been....... stay safe, mjmcdowell (check my original poston these mats}

Thanks for the heads-up and saving us some $$. :ok-kewl:

I'm glad you didn't forget this like I did. :blush:

One of the best traction mats I have found is strips of carpet. Cut then a bit wider than your tires and long enough to just fit between your front and back tires. I use six of them. Two in a row from my front tires forward and one between the front and rear tires. Keep switching then as you move forward. Has worked great for a number of years for me in snow and sand. Not too great in deep soft mud.
