So I finally broke down and made an order for Bill Burkes Getting Unstuck and Getting Prepared. Although the Getting prepared video had very little new material for the average offroader it was kinda neet to see how Bill sets up his stuff and how well thought out his rigs are. The Getting Unstuck video was a winner through and through. I really enjoyed watching his recovery techniques and although many or most on this board probably know the material it serves a great reminder. I got them both at 4X4 books.

Or you can take the approach of getting training just before you need it so you don't forget - I've heard that more than once at work. Carry the DVDs with you and watch the part you need on your computer after you're stuck!

Only half kidding. I tend to forget too much if I don't practice it and vehicle recovery isn't something I've done much of.
