I am going to run the Martinez loop this Saturday. Meet in FJ at 8:30. I am not going to be taking any of the nasty lines, so that I can better enjoy and document the trip this time. Any takers? This is a 3.5+ run.

I'd love to, but I am working this weekend. I have been trying to get a couple of local (tucson) guys to go on a FJ trip the following weekend though (upper woodpecker and upper ajax), but one is out of town, and no response from the other.......

It's supposed to rain/snow like crazy here on Saturday. If my Taco will fit in my buddy's garage, we will be installing my new front diff w/locker (insert "crossing fingers" smiley face here)

Scott,

If I could ship the 4Runner on a train during the night and get some sleep, that would help make more the Az trips and you guys make the CA trips.

Are you taking the cool new white TACO?

On a some what related question, how much work to bring the videos down to a size that people can watch from their PCs? Broadband and dial-up modem versions.

Jack,

Making videos appropriate for dial-up is almost impossible. You loose way too much quality. Even low res. video can take several minutes to download with dial-up, and they are not worth the wait...

Got it.

What tools do you use for doing the videos?

I use a Hi8 camera and an analog to digital converter. Then I use MGI Video or Movie Maker to produce the clips. We need to buy a new camera, as our trip to 'the tallest' dune got sand in the video camera and killed it. We are looking at a few digital units...
