Thanks for the invitation! I am planning on going to the Moab area in the spring, but it will likely be to Canyonlands and the White Rim Trail area.

Have fun!

Scott,

Lets talk about this plan that you have for Moab. I am missing it.

Easter Safari?

xxxpedition, please post a link to this Thread in the Forum Schedule. It will help people that are planning a trip for that time.
Can you give us more details. Is there an event happening?

Jack, EJS (Easter Jeep Safari) is a HUGE event in Moab. Probably the biggest annual event in Moab. The trails will be overflowing with jeeps, the hotels are already booked solid, the campsites that take reservations are filling up fast. There will be THOUSANDS of jeeps there. Vendor displays, guided trail rides, unguided trail rides, parties, you name it. This is the big one as far as jeep jamborees go. If you want a good seat, leave now.

EJS is very crowded, andunless you like lots of people, everywhere, (sounds like So. Cal.) it should probably be avoided. EJS is a showcase event, so lots of newly modified vehicles attend, highlighting the best of equipement. It is a good place to network, and meet people in the industry. There is always a large contingent of manufacturers and resellers present. I prefer SEMA to this event for those activities though. It is more efficient, and better attended.

I am working on the Canyonlands, Moab trip over the next week or so. You will see a posting soon...

Specialty Equipment Market Association. www.sema.org (http://www.sema.org) It is an event held yearly in Vegas, highlighting vehicle, OEM, and aftermarket equipment manufacturers. It is not open to the public. It is a very cool event, where all of the new products are released for the media. It is an absolute candy store.

Edelbrock was a customer of mine many years ago, and I was fortunate enough to attend with them. I can get anyone tickets that would like to go through my Expeditions West business license.

I will be taking you up on that offer. I have been wanting to go for the past 5 or 6 years, but TRW would never send me. I even offered pay my own way, and help work the booth. I knew more about our braking products than most of the people that went anyway (which still isn't saying much http://www.4wdtrips.net/forum/emoticons/lol.gif ).

I am planning an Easter Utah Trip, April 9-13, avoiding the Moab EJS Zoo. I have 2 ideas. Either Arch Canyon to Hotel Rock, to Elk Ridge, to Cotton Wood Canyon, to Beef Basin, to Bobbys Hole, to Elephant Hill, to Lavendar Canyon, to Lockhart basin, coming out at Moab.(after the mess) or Goblin Valley, through the Reef via Muddy Creek, Red Canyon, to Eagle Canyon, to Eva Connover, to Devils Race Track, to Fix it Pass to Wedge Overlook and Black Dragon. Several Mitsubishis will be on the trip, but anyone is welcome.

</div>Howdy Jack,

Thanks. All my mods are pretty well documentedhere: http://www.geocities.com/transalper/4runner.html

I'll make sure to post a mods thread soon, although there's nothing really special about my rig. I just stole a lot of good ideas from other folks. :) I hope to get more good ideas from some of the folks here as well.

I like the mods.

Lets continue this discussion on the mods Thread. I am interested on your swaybar quick disconnect and in the front ARB install, to name a few.

Where do you live? I saw snow on your pictures.
