I don't think Jack would have known about it if it was secret. 'Jack' and 'secret' are mutually exculsive.http://www.4wdtrips.net/forum/emoticons/joker1.gif
I agree, we need something on the calendar for February and March. I was tentatively taking to Baja about something around Valentines/Presidents day, could be a 3 day thing. We were thinking about something close to the AZ/CA border.
For something shorter I want to do some stuff in AB, like the Coyote canyon, then there is Painted Gorge in that area too. These could be things for a weekend or in our case day trips.
We'll have to see about the Mojave Road in March too.
Okay, time to return to the mod forums and decide on some tires.

I will post my upcoming trips tonight. I have 2 baja trips, a moab/canyonlands trip, and a Sand Tank Mountains trip planned. This is in addition to the navigation course I posted last week. More to follow...

How about this.
Everyone here plans a trip. one day,one weekend, one week, etc what ever they want.Pick a month to do the group trip, and post it. then the people who can go, can do it.
That way we will have 6 to 12 trips per year, and not the same 3 or 4 people are planning and leading all the trips.
My last 4 or 5 trips have taken me to some neat areas, and we have found some cool stuff. Maybe in a few months as I can fit it in, I plan to set up a group trip and take a bunch of people out there.
I like having big get togethers and seeing folks, and showing people the routes, and the things along it. I would like to invite everyone on my exploring trips, but I find it better to keep the exploring groups to 2 vehicles.
So how about it? All you who haven't planned any trips, get out the maps and set something up. If I can do it, ANYONE can.

Steve is trying to dump us.
He does such a nice job leading the trips... As people say, what is good don't stay for ever'. Or what is the say in English? You go the idea.
Uwe has something here. If we do trips 1/2 way drive to the Az people it will be easier for people to make it.
I need to open a map an help here some what. But, maps and Jack don't go well together. I may end taking you to a military installation and the trip will stop short.

Jack - I don't think Steve is giving up his leading trips. He really enjoys it. Just suggesting there would be more trips if other led too. As for leading people on to military bases - that's what Steve does best. We will never forget our trip to YPG.</div>

I like inviting Steve on trips in areas I have not been to, because he has been to all of them, so he ends up leading. Makes my job much easier. http://www.4wdtrips.net/forum/emoticons/chairfall.gif </div>
Ok, I'll plan a trip for next month. See seperate thread in the next trips section, and the calander for details. I'll invite Steve too....that way if we get lost, we can blame him.http://www.4wdtrips.net/forum/emoticons/lol.gif</div>

oops. Bob beat me to it. Maybe I'll join that trip instead, since that is the weekend I have set aside for a trip anyway.
Hey Chuck, you up for that trip? Or should I plan something a little closer?
