I don't know about anyone else, but I have been busy getting in the holiday spirit by..........working. Yup, working. Sometimes at work, sometimes at home. Either place it is work, but one place costs me money to work, the other pays me to work.</div>
I'll be spending Christmas day painting. At least the paint is festive (green)....I guess.http://www.4wdtrips.net/forum/emoticons/notme.gif </div>

Hey guys - merry christmas http://www.4wdtrips.net/forum/emoticons/biggrin.gif Yea, I am at work too. Jack, I like your list - but sorry, I didn't get any of that stuff for you. Maybe Santa will do a better job.
Looks like the weather is supposed to get a bit stormy for christmas. Maybe we will get some of that nice looking snow http://www.4wdtrips.net/forum/emoticons/biggrin.gif
Hey, any of you know a cheap shipping company that will bring a small pallet of goodies from Washington to AZ for a reasonable price? Toyota IFS front diff and a steering rack.
Yep... things are kinda sloooow around here.
GT, whacha paintin' green? What kind of green? What kind of paint you using? Have fun - be sure to let Cherokee help.

Baja,
The only thing I know about shipping is that if you ship to a business address it will be less expensive.
Regarding Christmas, Santa stopped by and left a couple of things for me. Or it was for Chanukah? Both combined I would say.
Some camping gear, the gas and water cans, and something that I will tell you only after installed.
Now we need to take care of the kids. They did not get anything yet. I asked them to list something.

Baja...
I've heard that you can ship stuff via Greyhound for a pretty reasonable price. Just not nearly as fast as ups/yellow freight etc.
Another option is finding someone that ships via yellow freight for work or something to take advantage of their discount.

A wall.http://www.4wdtrips.net/forum/emoticons/lol.gif
I painted part of the kitchen yesterday, but the color turned out MUCH brighter than I expected. I used a white basecoat and a tan glaze that I sponged off. The white really came through, and the walllooks yellow with a little hint of tan, not tan with a little hint of yellow. Don't know if I will keep it or repaint it yet. The "green" wall is in the livingroom, and will bea 3 tone color wash, with a light green/blue base, a medium green glaze with dark green accent. We'll see how that turns out (never tried it before). I put the base coat up a hour or two ago, and will do the color wash in a couple hours after I make the obligitory christmas day phone calls.
Cherokee wasn't much help. She just laid there and watched. Didn't even go put her nose in the paint like I expected. She didn't even go near it! I'm starting to worry about here. She is too mello for a 4 month old puppy. Even let me cut her nails yesterday, and didn't even put up a fight, just laid there and gave me her paws. http://www.4wdtrips.net/forum/emoticons/notme.gif But don't mistake that for me complaining, I like her being mello, just not sure how she can mellow out with age if she is already bordering on being lazy! http://www.4wdtrips.net/forum/emoticons/headscratch.gif Oh well, I guess I'lltake Cherokee out for a walk to watch the sun come up while the paint dries.
'Yall have a merry christmas.

GoodTimes,
Relax, Lucky is the same way. It the lab part talking. Some are really mellow. Can't remember when Lucky was 4 months old if he was mellow as he is now.

My sister has a lab (~2 years). That thing is hyper as all get out! When I was out there on business earlier this year, we tried to cut his nails....it took 2 of us 1/2 an hour to cut the nails on one paw!

GT, the paint sounds cool! I hope to see your place sometime. We (Sharon and I)did alot of custom paint like that using "glaze" and ragging different layers of color in our old adobe house- I will have to show you some pics sometime. Regarding the light color, we found that you have to play with it and sometimes add a similar, but maybe a little darker color. The glaze really dilutes the paint pigment and softens it - and the more layers we added, resulted inmore depth andricher colors.

Well, the green wall turned out like crap. I tried all kinds of things, sponging on, sponging off, ragging on, ragging off, color washing, and a few un-named processes (I won't be naming them--they didn't work). In the end I went back and painted the whole thing a solid color (somewhere between sage green and avacado) and called it good. The dog was getting upset because the wall was getting more attention than she was.http://www.4wdtrips.net/forum/emoticons/nono.gif
Baja, I'd love to see the pics. I am sure it turned out much better than mine did.http://www.4wdtrips.net/forum/emoticons/lol.gif
