Not much to report about this little trip in desert east of the Salton Sea. There is a little picture gallery right here (http://www.rxtx.com:8085/4wdtrips/photogallery/categories.php?cat_id=78). It includes the required satellite pictures and a few car shots. Dave took this one

He said I didn't stop in time when the tire was really up, but the ground was slippery and the car kept going when I hit the breaks. Ah well, now it doesn't look like much http://www.4wdtrips.net/forum/emoticons/cry.gif
We also got in a little confluence visit (see sat pic (http://www.rxtx.com:8085/4wdtrips/photogallery/details.php?image_id=960))
At the Geode beds we spent an hour digging, but they didn't have anything our size, just those tiny ones. Took some, now how to crack them to see if we got something nice or just dirt.
The night was cold, but Steve had the perfect fire going and we stayed comfortable till very late. In the moring our thermometers showed air temps around freezing, the little moisture in the air even gave us a little ice on the cars. Camp warmed right up onces the sun came out:
