Jack,

does this site support live XML feeds or site syndication (file names .xml, .rss, .rss2, .rdf)

This allows users to view new updates to the site dynamicaly, like Macromedia's Central Tool.

I didnt see anything in a quick search

Scott,
[quote]You are going beyond what I planned too. I am almost sure the Forum does not support that. But the Internet Imformation Server on my Site can support all kind of goddies.
[quote]What do you have in mind?I know Andrew is working on the new release of the Forum. You may give him the idea for future features.

[quote]p.s. In certain terms, this is a dynamic site. The content comes from a database. When the data chages what you see changes.

Jack,

Thanks for the response. This is no big deal. Many blog's create a native xml output file with every new post. That document is maintained at a specific URL for retrieval. This allows rich internet applications, and some handheld devices to access the log and maintain it while off network. A good example would be: I use Macromedia Central to maintain several online applications. When I disconnect from the network to go to the airport, and then on a plane, I would be able to respond to and read posts while not connected (like in the airplane), as soon as I reconnect to a network (anywhere) Central will send all of my posts to the 4wdtrips site.

I dont want to take any of your time on this. I will just wait until the next release and see if it is available.

Take care,

Scott

Uho we are getting fancy here.
I got it. Just like Outlook / Exchange on Off-Line mode.
I am sure it can not support that.
Good idea. But for the customers we have it is not important.
I thouht you were talking about news live. We would link the forum to some sites to get news about trails and anouncementsand other things.
