I feel your pain. I see this as an opportunity to go on a mod mission. We can all be silent for a week, then report of our incredible new mods when the forum goes back on line http://www.4wdtrips.net/forum/emoticons/eyes.gif http://www.4wdtrips.net/forum/emoticons/biggrin.gif

OK, time to give the reports.
I have some kind of mod on my 4runner that blow fuses on the right turns. Just right turns! I got two boxes of mini fuse 10A (original fuse) for the turning signal to be able to get to San Diego. Then had to get one more box of 5 fuses after I arriving in.
Did the easier things already:
1 - Disconnected the hitch wiring
2 - Disconnected the light bulbs
3 - Disconnected and connected back the connectors
4 - Kicked it
5 - Yelled at it
6 - Took a look at a flasher at the dealer. They told me that the flasher is the same used for the left turn too.
7 - Called Marcelo to check on the Toyota books. No help. They guy is 100 %mech expert and animation dude.
Maybe the dog pup has something do do with that....
I did not learn this at school nor at any robotics project I have worked during these last 15 years. But could be a thesis.

http://www.4wdtrips.net/forum/emoticons/hop.gifI'm so glad the forum is back. http://www.4wdtrips.net/forum/emoticons/smilewinkgrin.gif
Question? Do you actually have to make a right rurn or do you just have to turn on the signal for the fuse to blow?
Would I be correct in guessing that this is something that has only occured since you decided to hook something you were towing up to the electrical system?

Bob,
No need to make the right turn. Just turn on the right turn signal.
Ah, forgot to tell that my break light is on too. Had the breaks checked. All are fine.
Once and a while the break light flashes with the turn signal. They are connected (short some how).

Jack, never had that sort of problem, but on one of my Blazer's the windshield wipers used to come on automatically every time I made a right turn.

Thanks GoodTimes. If the short in the the panel. It will be a big pain to get to it.
SteveS will give me some ideas tomorrow, I was promised.
The interesting thing is that the break light flashes with the turn signal, not always. Intermittent problems are fun to work on.

Then every day you can do the 2 - 3 hour drive to work, be kinda like going on vacation EVERY day. http://www.4wdtrips.net/forum/emoticons/baja_rofl.gif http://www.4wdtrips.net/forum/emoticons/baja_rofl.gif
